Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unaware

SR Entertaining Angels of Obsidian – In September 2004, I saw a request for assistance on one of my e-mail groups.  There was a curly cat at the city pound in Mason City, IA.  3 weeks passed and no one adopted this pretty red and white boy, even though he was neutered & declawed when the AC officers found him as a stray.

His time was up, and CFA Purebreed Rescue agreed to take him in.  As a representative for them, I drove the 2 hours to Mason City, & when I arrived, Hippie presented himself to me as if to say "Where the heck have you been?"

Hippie quickly became known in ACFA as the HHP like no other.  He claimed enough rings in just 2 shows of the 2004-05 season to place both regionally & nationally.  In 2005-06, he made top 20 nationally, top 10 regionally.

Hippie is now mostly retired.  His primary activities include lounging, dashing out the back door whenever possible, & stalking kittens.

SGC Angelfire Lucille Bald – Through a very unfortunate rescue situation, this incredible TICA SGC found her way to my home just before Christmas 2004 along with another TICA QGC sphynx.  Thanks to the trust of Arden Andrews of Angelfire TN. Lucy was able to stay on as part of our household.  Her primary activities include making "kitty biscuits" on my belly fat & letting kittens nurse on her wrinkles.

He's Not Staying of Obsidian– Widget came to us in May 2006 when his family decided they no longer wished to have him.  He is a funny LaPerm with tons of personality & the cutest little white back toes!

It's official.  After adopting him out twice and having him come back twice... I've come to the sad realization that he is just a bad penny [grin] He is destined to always come back.

Personally, I think he's just a really smart cat.  I think he intentionally misbehaves at the other people's houses so they will bring him back to me.  And needless to day, I've fallen in love with him and could never let him go.

But that does not preclude me from offering him to anyone who will even glance his way.  So, could I interest you in a slightly used Widget?

Shagadelic of Obsidian – Shaggy is not spoiled.  He does not follow me from room to room meowing at me and asking to be picked up & stuffed down my shirt like I carried him as a kitten.  He does not try to burrow himself THROUGH my ear when sleeping at night.  He will not climb OVER his companions to get to the center of the food bowl he wants to eat from instead of going over to another one... which happens to be empty.  Oh, and he doesn't insist on being the first one to use every single cat box after it has been cleaned.
